The Analysis of Unemployment in China

1. The Brief Introduction about Unemployment in China

1.1 The situation of unemployment in China
Along with the development of economy in China, the problem of unemployment is increasing serious. It is a complexion of high growth and high unemployment.

2. Unemployment in Rural Areas

2.1 Reason of Unemployment in rural areas

2.1.1 The globalization affects the unemployment in rural areas. Since China joins the WTO, China start to import 3% of food from other countries which will cause the increase of unemployment in rural areas.

2.1.2 The increasing development of industries.
The farmer lose their land due to most of the industries are built in countryside. Therefore farmers will be forced to go to cities or towns to find job, some of them will become unemployed if they cannot find job.

2.1.3 Some places in China like north have seasonal unemployment. Because of the season changes 4 times a year. The winter in north of China is very cold, farmers cannot work.

2.2 The feature of Unemployment in rural areas

2.2.1 The unemployment in rural areas is more than the unemployment in urban centers.

2.2.2 The education of unemployment in rural areas is lower than the average of education in China.


3. Unemployment in Urban Centers

3.1 Reason of unemployment in urban centers

3.1.1 Lots of people from rural areas come to cities try to find a job but the vacancies are limited.

3.1.2 People may lose their job because of the industrial restructuring.

3.2 The feature of unemployment in urban centers

3.2.1 Some industries have sexual discrimination, so it is harder for female to find a job than male, especially middle aged female.

3.2.2 Young people take large proportion of the unemployment.

4. The influence on the society

4.1 The unemployment will become to the unstable factors in the society.

4.2 The unemployment will bring the pressure to the government.
