Essay plan



Thesis: Ethical awareness affects people's consumption ideas.



Introduction:

——Background of people becoming have ethical awareness;

——What is ethical awareness?

——Factors that cause people having ethical awareness and comparison between before and after ethical awareness affects people's consumption ideas.



More and more people are becoming purchase with ethical awareness nowadays.

——Concern of environmental problems;

——Worry about personal health;

——Ensure that farmers or producers are being treated fairly.



People's consumption ideas before having ethical awareness.

——Purchasing without considering the environment;

e.g. buying disposable products ,etc.

——Purchasing without knowing whether the businesses have ethical issues or not;

e.g. buying genetically modified food or products that have chemicals inside, as colouring material or preservative, etc.

——Purchasing without concerning whether the producers are being fairly treated or not.

e.g. never buying products with Fairtrade logo.



People's consumption ideas after having ethic awareness.

——Considering more about the environment;

e.g. reusing supermarket shopping bags, buying recyclable products, etc.

——Refusing to buy products with ethical issues;

e.g. stopping to buy fur and animal testing products, or products which produced by child labor, etc.

——Concerning more about treating farmers fairly by purchasing products with Fairtrade logo;

——Teenagers becoming more aware but still being active consumers or brand-followers.

'While they can understand the importance of sourcing goods ethically and not using sweatshops and so on, kids stills may want to go out and buy a pair of Nike trainers.'



Conclusion

It's important that people becoming purchase with ethical concerns and our practical action still need to improved.

  1. Very good. You could perhaps include an opposing opinion for balance, but it's not necessary, as this apears to be an 'exposition' essay.
