Kelly's Summary
Summary:
In China, there is a huge gap between people in cities and countrysides. The main reason of this is that the government invested more money in urban areas than in rural areas. Besides, education level and labour force also make the gap larger. To walk out this difficult situation, the government should invest more money in countryside, improve the education level and uniting city and based on country conditions of nature to progress local economy specially.

Summary:
I think that both factors are equally important. People with high qualification can easily find a good job, cause they have diplomas which can prove that they are qualified. They might start at a higher point and research shows that the more excellent the qualification, the higher the salary. However, Chinese companies tend to more lean to hire people with years of experience. Obviously, diploma isn't the only thing companies require from candidates. They also test the candidates by, for example, laying out a plan for certain project to see if they had the capabilities as good as their qualifications. People with only high qualification but low capability from lacking working experience would have hard times to combine theories with practice. On the other hand, social experience is also an important factor for people who wants a good job. Not only the companies want to hire people who have high qualification and outstanding capability, but also people with rich social experience and interpersonal relation skills. Because they know how to work with their colleagues and bosses to improve work efficiency which is the best thing the companies expected. That's why more and more undergraduate students find jobs during their vacations to gain as much working and social experience as they can. So they will graduate with both qualification and capability to insure them a promising future.

Some people desire to continue their foemal education beyond the undergraduate career. Those with the means and the desire can pursue a master's degree or docetorate. I disagree with the statement that it is a waste of money to pursue anything more than a bachelor's degree

We can protect wild animals from many aspects. Reducing the conflicts between human and wild animals can be one of the most important things which depends on the sustainable environment development. There are also many main factors to notice and take care according to the author. Firstly, we should use lands reasonable to ensure animals have enough places to live. Payment to environment service and the fee to animal insurance (pay money to establish park or other activities to protect wild animals) .Meanwhile, the wild animal products should be eliminated. some Chinese may argue that there are 2 to 3 cars each American household owned in averagy. What I want to point out is that the USA is quite different from us in lifestyle, for example, the teenage of drivers are dreaming of getting a car and leaving home, which is quite incredible in Chinese family. Also, they need their cars even to get a hamburgerd when there is little public transportation in their urban area. But, the most important thing is the American government becomes clearly aware of the necessity of big change when people's comfort is in confict with substaintial environment.

PLAN
Topic: How far is China from emerging as a fashion center?
Introduction:
Although many people in the fashion world consider China as a retail market only, some Chinese designers are striving to shine in the international fashion community. However,it will depend on multiple successful factors so that the country will become a fashion center internationally. This essay is going to have a further look at this question through several main factors, such as fashion brand, designers and designer ideas, consumption idea, etc.
Main body:
A. Fashion brand
1)Brand is a intangible sum of the name, characteristics, packing, price, history, reputation, advertising of the product. In fact, many famous international brands tell people the legend behind their brands:centuries-old cultural continuity, beautiful story of the brand, unique individual character, etc. Situation in China: brand is degenerating into label.
2)China is the biggest producing, consumption and export country, but has no international brand.
Fashion product is a special kind of product which would be worthless without a brand. Running thoughts of positioning the product on a international brand is of vital importance.
B. Designers & design ideas
1)Designers
A collection of international masters
Indigenous designers.
Although China still lacks of world-top designers, there is a small number of excellent designers in Hong Kong. Chinese designers are at the stage of learning. Some of them have strong ability of creativity and other abilities, what they need is to run into the interaction between company and designer, also between designer and market.
2)Design ideas
Absorb international cultures from fashion cities like Paris,Milan,London,New York, etc. Cultural exchanges are a way of developing design ideas. Keep comprehensive mind-set.
Chinese traditional culture with a long history can be combined with western culture. Some of the designers have made a success by doing this. Oriental culture is unique,we just need a unique way to present it.
C. Consumption idea
China owns a large market of consumption, how to attract the consumers should obey the following points. Fashion contains two kinds of meaning:First,it is a reaction of current prevalent culture of society and people's life style. Second,it should aim at aesthetic value. Both of them are closely related to the thoughts of consumers.
1)Awareness to the society and living conditions, more ethical:global warming, over exploitation, impacts on environment, etc.
2)Economy & Politics influence:financial crisis.
Conclusion
China has the potentiality to be a fashion center because of advantages like marketing and unique culture. It may take a long time for us to try hard, but it will be worth.
Reference:Tony Hines,Margaret Bruce(copyright@2001,2007),“Fashion Marketing:contemporary issues”,the growing impact of China on world textile and clothing market
Note taking:
1.Modern lifestyles and consumerism rely heavily on and are influenced by wider fashion trends. Two important industries that underpin fashion markets are textiles and clothing.
2.China,Pakistan and India have the largest number of people employed in the textile sector.
3.China's clothing exports to the USA stood at just around $9b in 1990,$25b in 1995 and rose to $70b at the end of 2005.

My opinion: It is important for children's growths to have balanced meal
with family at home.
Note taking
[Main point]
Research--Southampton Uni.
・taking in artificial colours could be connected children's conducts;
hyperactivity, or ADHD.
⇒may bring good results if children cut the food that contains amount
of colours.
・the six colours were used in study.
[FSA's meeting]
UK food companies already have been finding other things instead of
artificial colours.
[the opinions of Dr. Andrew Wadge, the FSA's chief scientist]
・this research can be good use.
・hyperactivity is caused not only by artificial colours.
because of heredity
・be able to avoid artificial colours by food labels
Summary
The research by Southampton University shows that taking in artificial food colours may cause children's conducts. Children may get good results on hyperactivity or ADHD by cutting the food that contains amount of colours. From this research, UK food companies mentioned that they had already been finding other things instead of colours at FSA's meeting. From the FSA's sientist, Dr.Andrew Wadge's perspective, artificial colours are not only reason causing hyperactivity, but the research can be useful, and people who are afraid of can avoid artificial colours by checking food labels.

Topic:
There is a huge gap between people in urban areas and rural areas in China, What reasons caused this phenomenon? How to narrow the gap?
1、Introduction(generalization): development of economic, the gap becomes larger, popular concern, rural people, urban people, ect.
2、Reasons:
a) Lack of investment in the rural areas in China. It barriers the development of economic and make the gap between the city and countryside bigger. e.g: China invested more in coastal cities than in rural areas.

Summary
The film censorship system is running in china now.it carries out lots of problems to not only the audiences but also the directors. it makes the films suit to all-age.people can’t see the original movie ,the directors can’t shoot the films as they want.they need to care about the rules all the time. it’s horrible to directors to satisfy the requirements of different audiences ,i think it’s the best opportinuty to have the film classification in china

PLAN:
Does china need film classification?
Introduction
Situation of china’s film system-no film classification but the censorship system
Compare with other countries in the world-it’s the basic system in the world
My opinion is we should establish the movie-grading system as soon as possible
Main part
Definition of film classification
Describe the situation of china’s film censorship system and point out the weakness
Weakness: director need to consider a lot about the rules of the censorship before begin to shoot,
directors are required to delete some specific plot although it spend them lots amount of money and time
The decision all made by government not by audience
Advantage of movie-grading
Cancel the restrict to the director, they are freely to shoot the film they want. show anything they want
Audience can watch the whole movie instead of the one which had cut lots of plot
Let Chinese films be brought in line with international practice and enlarge the international market
Good for childhood’s education .definitely grading not allowed children to see anything they are shouldn’t see
Arguement
it's hard to not allow children enter the cinema
lots of sex violence movies will come out immediately
Conclusion
With the beginning of movie-grading ,the boundary of adult &under age will easily comes out. as we all know, adults have different kinds of requirements, the films beneficial to all ages can’t satisfy the requirements of different kinds of people。With the high speed development of the modern socity, film classification must be carry out in the future. we are looking forward to see it soon!

Discussion:Creative artists should always be given the freedom to express their own ideas(in words, pictures, music or film) in whichever way they wish. There should be no government restrictions on what they do.
Introduction:state my mind
I agree with that there should be no government restriction on creative artists who express themselves in the way they do and they must be given freedom for the same.
Body:reasons to support my point of view.
Creative artists play a major role in our society, their works enlighten our minds, no matter if is factual or entertainment based. It is no doubt that after a days work when we want to take some time off for ourselves , we look out for some leisure. For instance: either pleasant music or a family movie which strike the mind. Entertainment give us an overview of a new side of life ,there is almost everything good in what is given to us through the media world which is made up of artists.
Balance the ideas:
On the contrary sometimes these artists tend to be unethical. They convert rumours into facts and present them before us.This might impair the repulation of some illustrtions people in today's society. On such occasions, certain restrictions are understandable.
Conclusion: respect for ones ideas is not only hypothetical but must be practise. It is through respect that each one of us can be recognised as a unique person in the world .This can be achieved by looking at the bright side of what media and the creative artists display for us. Not a day can go by without looking out colorful dreams and beatiful life which we can find either through music ,film, poetry, pictures, everything that are the creative artists offer to us.

Introduction---Recognised as the chief driving fource behind producitity, science plays a crucial role in human development. Odd enough as it may seem, the siginificance of basic science is largely ignored by the general public today.
Reason---a)basic science always has been shroudled in secrecy, such as physical and chemistry.
people think it is too hard and complicated.
b)Some specialized books seldom to be published.
c)as we all know, IT, banking, accounting, consulting, legal and other service develop
rapidly, these fields can earn a lot, so more and more young people to learn.

Some people believe that having an advanced degree will get them a good job.
Reasons:
1. Pressure on employment becoming increased——the amount of university graduates has been growing rapidly;
2. Companies raise the threshold of employment——more and more companies require college diploma from their candidates;
3. Parents of the college students push them to get higher degrees, so they'll become more competitive than others.
Research showed that lots of people believe that 'Knowledge can change your destiny!' In 2004, 61.3% of the total respondents believe that an advanced degree will play an important role in their future career. And the percentage raised to 67.6% the next year.
——People with advanced degree do get a good job more easier;
Because of companies raised their threshold of candidates, the higher the degree, the easier the candidate get the job. Obviously they want to hire a master more than a bachelor.
——People with advanced degree know more about their related field.
As they learn more about their major theoretically, it's easier for them to use their knowledge to handle their work in related field.
More and more people believe that outstanding capability and rich social experience are more important than an advanced degree.
Reasons:
1. Working experience is required increasingly——companies lean to hire people with more working experience.
2. Lots of successful business men are low-educated——years of life and social experience made them survive in the cruel business world.
A report from CUS(China Undergraduates' Consumption and Lifestyle Study) showed that along with the grade going up, less and less undergraduates believe that 'higher degree equals higher income'. An interviewee with doctor's degree told CUS his personal experience of being overshaded by a man graduated from junior college in a foreign company interview.
——People with outstanding capability and working experience are easier to get promoted;
Companies tend to employ people with good capability, cause they already familiar ed with the process and system, as while as they work more efficiently and precisely. It would take years for high degree beginners to practice their theories in their work.
——People with rich social experience are easier to quickly adjust themselves to fit in any situation.
Defining a good employee doesn't only depend on his/her knowledge or capability, it also depends on how well he/she can handle the interpersonal relations with his/her colleagues, bosses or clients. And the ability of making appropriate decisions when there is an incident.
Summary:
I think that both points of view are rational, though working experience and capability are being more considered by employers nowadays. People with high qualification and low capability might start at a higher point, but it probably will take them years to transform their knowledge into practice. And people who are low-educated but have a wealth of experience might be used to start their career from a really low position and then learn the rules of society. Fortunately, there are solutions for both situations. It's a great thing for undergraduates to work in their vacations. Taking part-time jobs or jobs related to their majors, so they can practice what they learnt in school while rich their social experience. Then it will be more easier to find themselves
good jobs after they graduated, as they have both qualification and capability.

In this day and age, education system has become a popular concern by many countries. In some countries, the aim of a school is to provide a general education across a range of subjects, while in other countries, children can choose a narrow range of subjects which they are interested in. It’s hard to say which education system is better. However, in China, children are not allowed to choose the narrow range of subjects until they are at the senior school. I’d like to describe the special education system in China in this essay and compare some other countries’ education system with it.

The effect of technology on our society have been expanding over
the last twenty years. Our life was changed and improved rapidly
by especially the Internet and a mobile phone. These tools make
us be able to communicate with others whenever you want, and
wherever you are. In addition, they generated new types of
communication ways such as an E-mail, writing a blog, chatting
on the Internet, and so on. Some people are afraid that people
may lack social skills because they can communicate without
meeting friends or customers by using them. However, people
need to adapt to each communication styles, then they have to
get more social skills now than twenty years ago. This essay will
mention advantages and disadvantages of electronic
communication, and why the kinds of social skills have been
increased.

It is undeniable and inevitable that electronic facilities and devices bring us huge benefits in various aspects admittedly .However, those high-technology communications still can produce some negative effects to people’s social skills. Every year, some new electric innovations were created to instead or save some labor and less time consuming. Gradually, some traditional and classic social skills began disappeared even extinct. In this essay, I will discuss the demerits that electronic communications caused in our modern society.
Nancy's homework
Through the last decades it has been apparent that electronic communications have played a very important role in people's life. Humans have strived to speed up and improve methods of communications with others for thousands of years. After a long period of slow-paced development, people finally made a breakthrough at the end of the 20th century. Nowadays electronic communications which include mobile phones, networks, emails, faxes and so on, become the main method of global communications between individual people and also between groups of people. They collect information and opinions fleetly in a walk. However, from my point of view, people may have fewer social skills as a result of the rapid development of electronic communications. A recent graduate student can exchange his thoughts, opinions and feelings with his classmates or professor actively by email, but he may be too nervous to show his real capability in a face-to-face interview for his job. Some people are not good at writing,I mean writing with a pen, because they are accustomed to type words on computers or mobile phones.Let's have a further look at how electronic communications influence people's life.
