Modern technology breaks through the geographic barrier, and makes the internet available for everyone. Since the 1990s, the pace of economic globalization has been growing at a staggering rate. The economic globalization brought with the exchange of technology and information between different countries, it broaderns the scope with which people communicate immensely, we are easier to connect with people from different races, religions and cultures. As a result, the traditional values and cultures are being changed. At the same time, the Transnational Corporations build their companies everywhere, to some extent, they create a new world culture and contribute to the global cultural homogeneity. People become aware that the global culture is coming close to us. More and more people think that since we are now living in a global village, we should abandon our traditional culture and accept global cultural homogeneity. This essay will describe the global culture and take consideration of the positive and negative effects of global cultural homogeneity.
