Kelly's Summary

Summary

This is a summary. The article is about how global companies use global corporate culture to operate themselves in a given country or region. This article is from BusinessWeek’s website. A big challenge for global companies now is to create a single global corporate culture and meanwhile give local leaders the flexibility to localize the way the company operates in a given country or region. The writer used the example of Mara Swan (global HR of Manpower Inc.) created a framework of operational principles for global operations to show that there are some global companies succeeded in using global corporate culture. A part from that, the writer used two examples-HP and Perez de Alonzo to give a brief explanation about the global management training programs these two companies launched. At last, the writer expressed his opinion-he was looking forward to see how global corporate culture worked in the future.

  1. This is a summary - ?!

one of the biggest challenges is creating a single global corporate culture but, at the same time, giving local leaders the flexibility to localize the way the company operates in - this is the original, which is much too close to yours. Careful, this counts as plagiarism.
