Nancy's homework(topic sentence)

Famous international brands are vital for China to be a fashion center. Fashion product is a special kind of product which would be worthless without a brand. Though China is the biggest producing,consumption and export country,but it has no international brand. Most people may think that luxurious brands are the representative of materialism,as they're expensive and the effect of pleasure and showing off outweighs their practicabilities. However, it's just the surface of the things. Connotation and source of luxurious brands are actually spiritual and cultural. Like core material of atom bomb,of which uranium 235 is the basis of nuclear fission,mighty and tempting culture is the source of infinite fascination of luxurious brands. From the standpoint of product,luxurious brands are often historical. Many famous international brands tell people the legend behind their brands,such as centuries-old cultural continuity,spirit of the designers,wonderful stories in developing the brand,and so on. From the standpoint of consumers,the mainstream market is wealthy people. They have strong feeling of cultural acceptance,so they gain corresponding social status through consuming culture and cultural products. From the standpoint of brand, luxurious brands always have strong characteristic of national culture. One of the function of a successful brand is to make dreams for their consumers. For example,lovers dream of owning diamond ring of Cartier,a successful man dreams of wearing watches of Rolex. These dreams and impression to the country of origin have a close connection with cultural image in people's mind. For instance,France stands for romantic,Switzerland stands for accuracy and high quality,Italy stands for passion and enthusiasm. So,what does China stand for to the world? Chinese ancient civilization is highly thought of by the world. Silk,teas and porcelain kept coming into the West and Middle East,and was very popular among the high-society people because of the strong sense of Chinese culture. But the situation now is that many cheap textiles and daily necessities made in China are becoming representative of low price and low quantity. They have flooded many low priced supermarkets in western countries. Brand has degenerated into label. To establish an international brand successfully,it is important for China to solve this problem. The brand culture should be rooted in Chinese brilliant ancient civilization,inheriting its soul while being creative. Then to remove the impression of “inferior goods made in China” by improving manufacturing technique and quantity of the products. With the development of Chinese economy and the rising nation status,demand for Chinese cultural products of the consumers around the world is becoming higher and higher. That's clearly a chance for Chinese international brands to grow up.
