Kelly's Opposition

By contrast, some people holds different opinions, they think that we should not narrow the gap between urban areas and rural areas. Because they like the lifestyle in rural areas, it’s quieter, cleaner and not stressful. If countrysides are as developed as cities, it must bring lots of pollution and this will damage the origin of the countrysides, every place is developed the same, without characteristic. For example, if Xinjiang is highly developed, they will have to remove the their huge grasslands in order to build more buildings for enough people and industries, the lakes will be polluted as well, if so, where else in China can we find such a beautiful natural scenery!

/Do you think it's a good argument? Narrowing the gap doesn't automatically lead to more pollution - richer rural areas are cleaner than poor ones./
